The centerpiece of the LGC Liturgical life is the Rite of the Gnostic Qurbana, or Holy Gnostic Eucharist..

One item of interest is the LGC’s employment of the thabilitho, as opposed to a Latin mensa (altar stone), or Greek antimension (consecrated altar cloth).

Of considerably ancient usage, and now primarily maintained by the Antiochene-based Syriac and Malankaran Orthodox churches, as well as the LGC – the thabilitho is a specially prepared and consecrated wooden tablet upon which the Qurbana is performed.
